A field check for the page in front of you

Color should be a clue.
Not the whole message.

Signal Check finds chart keys, status dots, and repeated page colors that may become hard to tell apart—then tells you which label, shape, pattern, or position to seek.

Try the idea

A status board with one missing cue

The colored dots look distinct to some readers. But without a word or shape, the board asks color to do all the work.

What gets inspected

The visible evidence, not your identity

  1. 01

    Repeated signal colors

Samples the visible page palette and looks for important colors that converge in the selected comparison.

  2. 02

    Legend and status marks

Inspects visible DOM and SVG marks, nearby labels, shape, size, and grouping to find likely meaning-bearing pairs.

  3. 03

A cue you can actually use

Points back to the signal and names the fallback to seek: text, pattern, shape, written value, or position.

Three short steps

Check before you commit

  1. Open the page.Keep the chart, status board, or UI you need to interpret in view.
  2. Press Alt + Shift + S.Choose a comparison and run the local visible-page check.
  3. Verify the field notes.Locate each signal and use the alternate cue before you act.

Private by construction

Your screenshots never leave the browser.

The visible tab image is sampled in memory and discarded. Your selected comparison and last result count stay in extension storage on this device. There is no analytics, account, cloud API, or page-history log.

Honest limits

A second look—not a diagnosis

Signal Check is advisory. It can miss meaning inside canvas charts, images, video, tiny marks, or content outside the visible area. It does not measure your vision or certify a page. When a decision matters, confirm against labels, source data, or a colleague.

Keep one more cue in view
