An advisory tool, not a verdict.
Signal Check is free, open-source software provided under the MIT License. By using it, you agree to use its findings as one source of information rather than a medical diagnosis, accessibility certification, or guarantee.
What the tool does
The extension uses heuristic color comparison and visible-page inspection to flag likely ambiguity. It may miss signals or flag decorative colors. Results vary with the page, display, selected comparison, and individual perception.
Your decisions
For health, safety, financial, employment, compliance, or other consequential decisions, verify the source labels or data and follow your organization’s review process. Do not rely on Signal Check alone.
Acceptable use
You may use, inspect, modify, and redistribute the software under the MIT License. You may not present its heuristic output as a clinical assessment or guaranteed accessibility conformance.
Warranty and liability
The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. The maintainers are not liable for decisions, losses, or damages arising from use of or inability to use the software.
Changes
These terms may change as the product develops. Material changes will be dated here. Continuing to use a later version means accepting the terms shipped with that version.
